Hi, I’m Victoria!

I’m a certified Family Enterprise Advisor, Facilitator and Business Consultant who helps family businesses find solutions to secure their legacy & success.

My passion is helping family businesses …

  1. Communicate effectively

  2. Resolve conflicts

  3. Train future leaders for success

  4. Help founders pass the torch empowered as they enter a new stage in life.

  5. Create systems to support future growth and make better decisions.

Because I know how important your family business is to you.

It provides security for your family and it also allows you to create a shared legacy together.

Family businesses can also be challenging.

Family relationships are a life long commitment.

When communication is difficult and conflicts go unresolved, a relationship can get stuck in a painful, unhealthy pattern or dynamic.

This same dynamic ends up presenting itself in the family business.

“He always thinks he’s right.”

“She always sides with him.”

“They only care about themselves.”

Similarly, founders find themselves stuck in another pattern…

They grip the business so tightly that they can’t seem to let it go, even if it jeapordizes the future of the business if something would happen to them.

Often they are so caught up in the daily operations they don’t have time to develop new leaders.

And new leaders struggle as they try to do things the way the founder and other family members say they should.

They feel left in the shadows of the leaders that came before them.

Whether it’s…

Conflicts

Founders procrastinating on succession

Or new leaders stepping up to the plate

… Poor communication and boundaries are at the center of all these issues.

Sadly, we aren’t taught how to communicate in school and I believe it’s the biggest disservice to mankind.
It’s the most important thing for human survival and happiness.
Thankfully, even though we’re not taught this, it’s a teachable skill.
As someone who came from a conflict-ridden family business with poor communication & boundaries, it’s become my passion to help family businesses learn how.

From the start, we largely swept things under the carpet.

I remember my father said, “Children need to be seen and not heard.”

My mother created a lot of confusion around our worth by building us up to our siblings but not to our face. The comparisons created a lot of distrust between us that was unhealthy.

We were very religious, but it felt like a huge contradiction.
After we went home from church, it was a battleground.

In our religion, we were encouraged to have a family meeting every week.
Yet we could never sit through a whole one without fighting.

Because of the instability in my family, I learned to read people and figure out what made them tic.

I took on the role of peacemaker to make others happy. But in the end, I realized living to make others happy wasn’t making me happy.

I learned about the power of asking for what I needed and using clean and clear communication could transform relationships.

That’s why I specialize in conflict resolution that gives everyone a voice and allows everyone to be heard.

That’s why I specialize in succession planning that helps founders embrace their bigger destiny.

That’s why I specialize in leadership development that empowers future leaders to maximize their uniques strengths and style.

Each member of a business family must shine for the business to succeed.
